Domestic Staircase Design
PK Woodworking offers a domestic staircase measuring and layout service for new or replacement staircases. Using a computer-based design system, I can visit your property, take the necessary measurements and produce staircase layout drawings, including plan and side elevation views, to help visualise a suitable design for the space.
Limited Space
The system covers a range of common domestic staircase layouts, including straight flights, quarter landing, half landing and winder configurations. Where required, features such as bullnose or double bullnose treads can also be incorporated depending on space and headroom.
All layouts are prepared with current Building Regulations in mind and can be used as a guide for manufacture or further planning. Advice can also be provided on the next steps, including coordination with specialist manufacturers where needed.
Staircase Improvements
In addition to staircase design, PK Woodworking can also help improve the appearance of existing staircases. This may include replacing or updating spindles and other timber elements to give an older staircase a refreshed look without the need for full replacement.
